Ambrosini F7 Rondone, I-ADRE

FOR SALE

I-ADRE is the first aircraft of the production series of the F7 Rondone, designed by Ing. Frati. The F7 is the production development of the famous race Rondone F4 designed for Ing. Guagnellini that held two world speed records on the 100 km and 500 km circuit in his category.

I-ADRE was built by “Legnami Pasotti” factory in Brescia, Italy under request of Sai-Ambrosini, that later started a small production series of ten aircraft. I-ADRE first flew on September 10, 1954, with the legendary test pilot Vico Rosaspina.

I-ADRE has been beautifully and completly restored by Francesco and Marco Fanfani ten years ago. The aircraft has been also structurally inspected and the aircraft looks freshly built. Also many systems were rebuilt and an electrical constant speed MT prop was installed, to improve take off and climb performances. The Engine time is 10 hrs SMOH and the cockpit was kept original in the spirit of the restoration. The aircraft has always been hangared.

It’s for sure a piece of Italian post-war aeronautical history, also because it has been designed by Ing. Stelio Frati; at the same time being a prototype brings an added value to the aircraft.

It’s a wonderful aircraft to fly, with nice performances and clean maneuverability, very similar to the Falco, combining at the same time lower operative costs.
